WSU Cougars lose a cornerback, and some links from around the web
Coaching changes always result in some personnel attrition, and even though the addition of defensive coordinator Alex Grinch has been a success for Washington State so far, the Cougars were bound to lose a player or two in the transition.
Tuesday, Jacob Thorpe of the Spokesman-Review reported that sophomore cornerback Pat Porter is no longer with the Cougars.
Porter started two games for WSU at cornerback last season, and played in four. As Thorpe notes, he was one of the best young prospects the Cougars had in the secondary in 2014, but his fortunes changed this year with the introduction of a new defensive coordinator and some new concepts.
