PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State’s Lize Leenknecht and Donika Bashota advanced to the finals of the doubles flight Saturday during the second day of play at the 2015 Cougar Classic.
WSU’s Leenknecht and Bashota began the day with a victory over Gonzaga’s Domonique Garley and Sissi Koehler, 6-3. The duo earned a spot in the finals after defeating fellow WSU teammates Maria Biryukova and Holly Monahan, 7-5.
WSU’s Trang Huynh and Barbora Miksovska began play today with a resounding 6-0 victory over Montana State’s Middle/Brycki. The duo dropped its next match in the semifinals 6-2 to Gonzaga’s Sam Polayes and Sophie Whittle.
