Washington State announced the hire of former Utah State co-defensive coordinator Kendrick Shaver Saturday afternoon.
Shaver, who spent the last seven years at Utah State, will coach the Cougars’ safeties, WSU said in a news release.
“Kendrick Shaver is an outstanding coach that has coached several different positions along the defense in his career,” WSU coach Mike Leach said in a release. “He called the defense at Utah State for the past two years, he brings constant energy to practice, and has the reputation of being a tremendous recruiter. We are fortunate to have a coach and person of his caliber join our program.
