PLEASANTON, Calif. – The Washington State women’s golf team is tied for seventh with No. 12 Stanford, in a field that features nine top-25 teams, after the first round of the Pac-12 Championships, Monday, at Ruby Hills Golf Course.
WSU (-1, 287) leads No. 13 Washington, Oregon State, and No. 15 California, and trails tournament-leader, No. 2 USC (-10, 278) by nine strokes heading into the second round. No. 1 UCLA (-6, 282) and No. 10 Arizona State (-3, 285) round out the top three. Three teams are tied for fourth at 2-under par (286).
Junior Cherokee Kim and sophomore Alivia Brown are tied for fifth with nine other golfers after shooting 2-under (70) in the first round.
