Women’s Golf Finishes 14th at First Tournament of Fall

Sophomore Madison Odiorne tied for 30th and Junior Bree Wanderscheid tied for 37th.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Washington State University women's golf team placed 14th after finishing 26-over par (890) at the 2016 Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, Tuesday, at the Championship Golf Course.

In the team's first event of the fall season, WSU competed against four other Pac-12 schools, including second-place Arizona State (-11, 853), fifth-place Arizona (-3, 861), seventh-place Colorado (E, 864), and ninth-place California (+6, 870).

The Cougars finished 53 strokes behind first-place winner Oklahoma State (-20, 844). Arizona (10th), Arizona State (11th), California (16th), and Oklahoma State (ninth) all finished the 2016 season ranked in the top 25.
