PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's basketball team had five players score double-digit points against No. 9/13-ranked UCLA Sunday, Jan. 22, but it wasn't enough to lift the Cougars past the Bruins, as WSU was handed a 73-66 defeat at Beasley Coliseum.
Freshman Astera Tuhina led Cougars in scoring against the No. 9/13-ranked team in the nation, as the guard from Kosovo scored a career-high 15 points and picked up three steals. Senior Bella Murekatete, junior Jessica Clarke, and sophomore Tara Wallack each registered 11 points each, while senior Johanna Teder chipped in 10 points.
