Washingtonians at Day 9 of the U.S. track and field Olympic trials

EUGENE, Ore. — Former Washington State track star Bernard Lagat gets his last chance to make the Olympic team Saturday evening when he will compete in the 5,000 meter finals at Olympic trials. Lagat, 41, is hoping to qualify for his fifth Olympics. He’ll have to finish in the top three to do so.

Lagat is joined in the finals by Brooks Beasts runners Garrett Heath and Riley Masters.
