Washington State junior Josh Hawkinson continued his lengthy double-double streak with three in as many games at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu to earn his first-career Pac-12 Conference men’s basketball player of the week award.
The 6-foot-10 forward from Shoreline’s Shorecrest High, recorded double-doubles against No. 3 Oklahoma (16 points, 8 for 15 from the field, 10 rebounds, 4 steals), Northern Iowa (14 points, 6 for 9 from the field, 13 rebounds) and New Mexico (19 points, 8 for 15 from the field, 10 rebounds, 4 assists) to average 16.3 points on 56 percent shooting (22 for 39) and 11.
