TUCSON, Ariz. – Mariah Cooks completed a three-point play with 3.4 seconds left, giving the Washington State women’s basketball team a 62-61 victory over Arizona on Sunday.
WSU (13-14 overall, 4-12 Pac-12) snapped its losing streak at nine games.
The Cougars trailed the Wildcats (11-17, 2-14) by two points when Cooks rebounded a missed free throw by teammate Nike McClure and scored in traffic while being fouled by Arizona’s LaBrittney Jones.
