PULLMAN – Reserve Mariah Cooks scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Washington State women’s basketball team to a 67-46 victory over Arizona on Friday night.
Borislava Hristova added 14 points for the Cougars (11-4 overall, 2-2 Pac 12), who had 12 different players score to overcome a slow start and poor shooting from three-point range.
Washington State shot 33 percent in the first half but went 13 of 28 (46 percent) in the second half, when the Cougars broke the game open. They made 3 of 5 from behind the arc in the third quarter but were 1 of 17 in the other three quarters.
