Washington State landed an in-state running back on Monday when Djouvensky Schlenbaker announced his commitment to the Cougs. The three-star back out of Squalicum High School in Bellingham is the fifth commitment of the 2022 class and chose the Cougars over offers from Washington, California, Colorado, Virginia Tech, Air Force and Nevada.
During his two seasons so far at Squalicum, the 6’1” 210-lb back has ran for 3,430 yards including last season when he had 1,046 yards in just five games. In the final game of 2021 season he rushed for 246 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries.
