LOS ANGELES – Washington State received three hits from senior Patrick McGrath in an 11-2 defeat to No. 14 UCLA at Jackie Robinson Field Sunday afternoon.
Trek Stemp opened the game with a single back up the middle and was bunted up to second before McGrath came through with a two-out double into left centerfield that scored Stemp for a run in the first.
The Bruins pushed three runs across in the bottom half, using two hits, two walks and two wild pitches for a 3-1 advantage. UCLA added another in the second despite not recording a hit in the inning, using two walks, a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly to make it 4-1.
