The Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association (WSCCCA) will induct three members into its Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Tacoma on Friday.
Longtime coaches Erica Hill (Mercer Island), Phil English (Eisenhower) and Mark Anderson (Chelan) received the honor from their peers. The induction is part of the Washington State Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Convention at the Hotel Murano.
The Hall of Fame portion is slated to run from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Hill, who’s currently an assistant principal at Inglemoor, began her reign on the island in 1996. MI’s girls team won the 2008 Class 3A state title while the boys and girls teams combined for five Kingco league championships under Hill’s leadership.
