For the first time in school history, the Washington State soccer team is headed to the Elite Eight. Morgan Weaver scored twice, and Makamae Gomera-Stevens had the game-winner as WSU downed West Virginia 3-0.
The Cougs now travel to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the no. 2 seeded South Carolina Gamecocks. Time and date are TBD, it seems.
The win gives WSU 15 for the season, which is a school record.
