MOSCOW, Idaho -- The Washington State volleyball (4-1) defeated Seattle U (3-2) at the Idaho Volleyball Classic tournament with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-23 Saturday morning at Memorial Gym in Moscow.
Junior Kyra Holt led the Cougars with 14 kills, hitting .407 and had five digs. Freshman McKenna Woodford added nine kills (.350) with two aces six digs and three blocks. Freshman Claire Martin had a match-high five blocks. Junior setter Haley MacDonald contributed 29 assists and six kills (.714) and two aces. Senior Kate Sommer had 10 digs and one ace. Tani Stephens and Olivia Coale each added another ace.
