PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Volleyball began the 2019 Cougar Challenge on a positive note, sweeping Idaho State in the first home match of the season.
Set scores from the match were: 25-18, 25-19, and 25-13 in favor of the Cougars (6-1).
The opening set saw the Bengals of ISU (3-5) and the Cougars trading points throughout the early stages of the set. Each program managed to hold small leads during various periods, with neither finding any true separation. A quick 3-1 run by WSU, aided by and kills gave the Cougars a slight 10-8 advantage.
