PULLMAN, Wash. -- Jocelyn Urias, a member of the Mexican National Team, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Washington State and play volleyball this fall, Cougars Head Coach Jen Greeny announced Friday.
Urias is a 6-foot 3 inch middle blocker from Tijuana, Mexico. She was a three-year member of the Mexican Junior National team, and was selected to the Mexican National Team for competition at the FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) World Grand Prix. She played three years of high school volleyball at Preparatoria José Vasconcelos in Tijuana, for coach Luz Maria. Urias also played for the Baja California Club team coached by Estanislao Matías Vachino, and was named the MVP of the 2015 Copa Federacion (Federation Cup), a qualifying tournament for the Liga Mexicana de Voleibol (LMV).
