Vince Mayle cut from Cowboys

Former Washington State standout Vince Mayle was released by the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, after appearing in six games for the NFC East leaders. The wide receiver was signed from the Cowboys practice squad earlier in the season, but is yet to record a catch in the NFL.

It looks like the move was made to free up a roster spot for a new offensive lineman for the Cowboys, where their depth is thin. Meanwhile, Mayle will look for his third employer since the Cleveland Browns selected him in the fourth round of the 2014 draft.

You'll remember that the Coug wideout had a short, but illustrious career on the Palouse.
