MOSCOW, Idaho – Perrion Callandret scored 25 points and Victor Sanders chipped in 20 as Idaho defeated Washington State 78-74 Thursday night at the Cowan Spectrum.
Five Cougars were in double-figure scoring, led by Josh Hawkinson’s 16 points and Ike Iroegbu and Conor Clifford both chipping in 12 apiece.
WSU guard Que Johnson missed a corner 3-pointer with four seconds left that would’ve tied the game at 77. Callandret clinched the win by splitting a pair of free throws on the other end.
With 49 seconds remaing, Ike Iroegbu took an errant pass the other way and laid it in to cut the lead to 75-72.
