Washington linebacker Psalm Wooching and offensive lineman Siosifa Tufunga have been named to the watch list for the Polynesian player of the year award.
Tufunga, a senior from Long Beach, Calif., is the favorite to take over as UW’s starting center this season. Wooching, a junior from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is a key special-teams contributor with a passion for his Samoan heritage.
Colorado QB Sefo Liufau, a Tacoma native, is also on the Polynesian award watch list.
