Two School Records Fall, Cougs Add Three Medals on Day 3

HOUSTON (February 21, 2025) – Washington State Swimming added two more school records and three medals on date three of the Mountain West Conference Championships in Houston Friday.

The Cougars set school records in the 200 free relay and sophomore Ariel Wang broke the school record in the 400 IM while the 200 free relay team finished second, junior Emily Lundgren placed third in the 100 fly and Wang took silver in the 400 IM.

In the morning prelims, freshman Ashlyn Hernandez posted a 1:01.48 in the 100 breast, good to make the evening finals and is the fifth-fastest time in program history.
