PULLMAN, Wash. – Hosting the 2015 Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championships, the Washington State University men’s golf team finished opening-day action in a tie for third place with No. 13 Stanford (+10, 710). The Cougars fired a 347 (-3) in the second round, the second-lowest score of the day at the par-70 Palouse Ridge Golf Club. Through 36 holes of play, No. 16 USC (-1, 699) sits in first place, with No. 3 Arizona State six strokes back at 705 (+5).
WSU’s Derek Bayley fired the lowest score of the second round, shooting 5-under par (65). Bayley carded par or better on the first 17 holes, including six birdies, before carding a lone bogey on the final hole.
