EL MACERO, Calif. - Washington State men's golf finished the first round of the El Macero Classic, hosted by UC Davis in 13th, five strokes behind No. 50 SMU and Pacific which are tied for 11th, Friday. Junior Nicklaus Chiam, competing as an individual, is in a tie for 13th.
Chiam earned a top-15 spot after carding a 73 (+1) in the first round. Junior Scott Redelsperger led the team for the first time and currently sits in a tie for 25th with a score of 75 (+3).
