SAN FRANCISCO – For the first time in her standout career, junior outside hitter Pia Timmer has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. Timmer is the first Coug to earn a weekly award in 2021 and the first since Magda Jehlarova was named Defensive Player of the Week (Feb. 2) early in the spring of last season. Timmer is the first offensive honoree for the Cougs since Penny Tusa (Oct. 29) grabbed the award during the 2018 season.
Putting together another stellar weekend at the pins for the Cougs, Timmer led WSU to its second-straight tournament title, this time on the road at the Thunderdome Classic in Santa Barbara, Calif.
