Thomson and Elling Quaintance Win Sprint at Burnaby Lake

Elling Quaintance won the sprint for the second-straight year.

BURNABY, British Columbia – The Washington State University women's rowing team placed three pairs in the final 250-meter sprint at the Burnaby Lake Small Boat Invitational, and senior Emily Thomson and sophomore Ivy Elling Quaintance won the title of Regatta Champions by winning the sprint, Saturday.

"It was a good day for racing, the rain held off until we were loading the boats," Head Coach Jane LaRiviere said. "This race is always a great experience. Burnaby is a great place to row and we gained some much needed race experience.
