The Washington State Cougars kick off their 2018 season in Laramie when they face the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday afternoon. Wyoming’s season has already begun with an easy win over lowly New Mexico State.
That “Week 0” game should play to Wyoming’s advantage, as it has had a chance to work out the first-game kinks that often plague college teams. WSU is no stranger to that issue, winning just one of six openers under head coach Mike Leach. This opener is no easier, as the Cougs lost many key starters on both sides of the ball from the 2017 squad that finished 9-4.
