LOS ANGELES – The Washington State University Track and Field program began competition at the Pac-12 Championships Friday, from Loker Stadium, hosted by USC.
Carolina Ulloa-Daza secured the first team point for the Washington State women Friday afternoon, as she placed eighth overall in the hammer throw. Carolina recorded a throw of 192-feet 5 inches (58.65m) to secure her eighth-place spot in the opening women's event of the Pac-12 Championships.
Neema Kimtai earned a spot in the finals of the 1500-meter event after placing 12th overall. Fellow Cougar Kaili Keefe went on to finish 28th overall as well, posting a time of 4:40.
