PULLMAN, Wash. – Former Washington State pitcher Adam Conley was selected to start the Triple-A All-Star Game for the Pacific Coast League and former Cougar third baseman Nick Tanielu started for the West in the Single-A Midwestern League All-Star Game.
Conley, a second-round pick by the Miami Marlins in 2011, owns an 8-2 record with a 2.33 ERA and 62 strikeouts over 89 innings in 15 Triple-A starts for the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami) this season. The lefthander from Olympia, Wash. was recently named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week, has won three of his last four starts for New Orleans and entered the week second in the PCL in wins and ERA.
