Bellevue-based wireless carrier T-Mobile US reported a second-quarter profit of $361 million, or 42 cents a share, beating analyst estimates and rebounding after a $63 million loss in the previous quarter.
“Overall, I think the results speak for themselves,” CEO John Legere said in a statement.
Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg had estimated T-Mobile would post a profit of $110.5 million, or 13 cents a share..
The second-quarter profit, however, dropped 7.7 percent from $391 million, or 48 cents per share, in the second quarter of 2014. The decline was primarily due to the company’s recognition of $747 million in revenue in the second quarter of 2014 from a previous spectrum sale.
