The first day of the Pac-12 Men's Golf Tournament provided the perfect opportunity for the Cougars to perform more consistently. WSU used its intimate knowledge of the Palouse Ridge Golf Course to its advantage over its competitors yesterday.
Freshman Derek Bayley carded the lowest score for the Cougars in the second round, shooting a 5-under, 65. At a combined 6-under, 134, Bayley is currently in second place, trailing Stanford sophomore Maverick McNealy by just one stroke.
Michael Anderson also had a strong day, especially in the first round. The WSU senior carded four birdies over his first nine holes (10-18) and finished the morning with a score of 67.
