PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University women's basketball team got a double-double from redshirt junior Jovana Subasic to propel the Cougars to a 2-0 start with a 67-50 win over Brigham Young University at Beasley Court on Saturday afternoon.
Subasic registered a career-high 15 points and 11 rebounds in a reserve role to help WSU get off to its first 2-0 start since the 2016-17 season. The Sabac, Serbia native hit six of her nine field goal attempts against BYU, which included a pair of 3-point field goals. The 6-4 forward's 11 rebounds helped the Cougars to 53-37 edge on the glass on Saturday, while Subasic presence downlow allowed Washington State to score 32 points in the paint against a BYU team that collected a victory in last season's NCAA Tournament.
