AZUSA, Calif.— Sophomore Alaina Stone Boggs won the women's 5,000m race as the Washington State men's and women's track and field team recorded multiple WSU all-time marks, and nine top-15 finishes over three days at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Stone Boggs displayed her speed and endurance in the women's section five open 5,000m event. She won her heat with a personal-record time of 16:31.28, a whole 19 seconds faster than her previous-best mark. Her time is also 10th-fastest women's 5,000m time recorded in WSU history.
Stone Boggs was not done with her outstanding performances at the Bryan Clay Invitational, as she set a new personal record in the women's 1,500m with a time of 4:31.
