AUSTIN, Texas -- Six additional Washington State track and field athletes punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships Saturday at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
WSU will have both women’s relay teams racing in Eugene. The 4x100m relay squad of Bria’una Watley (redshirt senior, Granada Hills, Calif.), Danielle Darden (sophomore, Aliso Viejo, Calif.), Dominique Keel (junior, Beaverton, Ore.), and Christiana Ekelem (junior, Etiwanda, Calif.) ran a time of 44.61 seconds, second-best in their heat and seventh-fastest of the 24 teams racing. The time is also the second-fastest time in WSU all-time history.
