LOS ANGELES – The Washington State Cougar soccer team (4-4-4) tied Loyola Marymount, 1-1, Saturday night in Los Angeles. Cougar fifth-year senior scored the match's opening goal in the 13th minute, her second of the season, before LMU drew level in the 35th minute.
The Cougars struck 13 minutes into the match when Turner put her foot on the end of a cross from sophomore and scored the second-fastest WSU goal of the season. Santa Cruz ran onto a through ball from fellow sophomore , who picked up her team-best fourth assist. Santa Cruz cross was deflected, but Turner adjusted to get position in the 6-yard box and a touch on the ball for her second goal of the year.
