It has been one heck of a month for the Washington State women’s soccer team. They just finished an incredibly improbable run into the College Cup for the first time in school history, where they lost a close game to the best program in the sport’s history in North Carolina 2-1. Just a couple of weeks later, athletic director Pat Chun made sure the coach responsible would be around a lot longer. The school announced this morning that Todd Shulenberger had signed a contract extension through 2025, keeping him on campus for at least five more seasons.
