CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Seven members of the Washington State University women’s rowing team were named 2015 National Scholar-Athletes by the College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA), the organization announced Thursday.
Senior Sarah Wu, juniors Tori Gerken, Nicole Hare, Katrina Tarrant and Jordan Watson and sophomores Mihaela-Teodora Berindei and Jessi Howe were each named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes, each having maintained a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher throughout their careers. To be eligible, each rowing student-athlete must be in her second, third or fourth year of eligibility and rowed in a minimum of 75 percent of the spring races in an NCAA boat.
