CANBY, Ore. – The Washington State men’s golf team is in eighth place before the rest of the second round was postponed due to darkness at the Airstream Adventures Northwest Classic, Monday at the Willamette Valley Country Club.
The top three is comprised of UNLV, No. 28 Oregon and Seattle, as each team is under par. WSU leads Pac-12 competitors Utah and Oregon State by four strokes, and in-state rival Gonzaga by six strokes.
Leading the team, freshman AJ Armstrong and sophomore Derek Bayley are tied for 14th after shooting even par on the day, seven strokes back of tournament-leader Aaron Wise of Oregon.
