LONG BEACH, Calif. – Sophomore Hikaru Sato and freshman Pang Jittakoat rallied from a 4-1 deficit to capture the A Flight Doubles title at the 2019 Beach Tennis Fall Tournament, Sunday at the Rhodes Tennis Center.
The duo faced two early breaks against Long Beach State's Munoz and Lennon before rallying to force a tiebreaker. In the breaker, WSU escaped with 7-6 (8-6) victory for the title.
In the B Flight final, sophomore Yang Lee lost a break of serve each set as she fell to Long Beach State's Sadaf Sadeghvarizi, 6-4, 6-3.
