MADISON, Wisc. – Washington State junior Sam Renner captured his first collegiate individual title with a three-round score of 9-under, 207, to post a two-stroke victory Tuesday at the Badger Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin on the par-72, 7,286-yard University Ridge Golf Course.
Renner's victory helped WSU to finish in a three-way tie for fourth overall as the Cougars completed three 54-hole event at 6-over, 870, after a final round of 10-over, 298. Northern Illinois captured the team title at -9, 855, while Long Beach State and host Wisconsin both finished at 6-under, 858.
