PASCO, Wash. – Ian Sagdal drove in three and added three stolen bases to lead Washington State to a 7-3 victory over Portland Tuesday at Gesa Stadium in the Cougar Diamond Classic presented by Broadmoor RV.
After Washington State (27-23) scored one in the first, the Cougars pushed the lead to 3-0 two innings later as Sagdal tripled to center, scoring Jack Strunc and Derek Chapman. Strunc started the rally with a leadoff double down the line in left. Chapman played add-on in the fourth as he drilled a two-out triple to right, scoring Strunc who reached on an infield single.
