BOULDER, Colo. – In opening-round action of the 2015 Pac-12 Women’s Golf Championships, senior Kristen Rue fired an even 71 to lead the Washington State women’s golf team. The Cougars finished the day 15-over (299), two strokes back from No. 36 California (+13, 297) and five strokes ahead of No. 18 Arizona State (+20, 304). No. 20 Oregon (E, 284) sits atop the leaderboard through 18 holes.
Rue is currently tied for ninth place, just two strokes out of a tie for second place and four strokes out of the tournament lead. The Gig Harbor, Wash.
