BETHEL, Ohio – The No. 18-ranked Washington State rowing team put together a strong first day at the Big Ten Invitational on Saturday, April 17, as the Cougars captured a second-place finishing in all three afternoon races, knocking off No. 15-ranked Wisconsin and Notre Dame on Harsha Lake.
The Cougars, who are competing east of the Mississippi River for the first time since the spring of 2018, wrapped up its six-race day by a trio of second-place finishes in the afternoon session of the Big Ten Invitational.
The No. 18-ranked Cougs knocked off No. 15 Wisconsin and Notre Dame in the first varsity eight, the second varsity eight and varsity four races.
