Washington State’s Ron Stone Jr. and Sydney Pulver were both named winners of a Pac-12 weekly award on Monday. Stone Jr. took home the Pac-12 defensive lineman of the week for football while Pulver was named the Pac-12 defensive player of the week for soccer.
Stone Jr. earned his first award of the season after helping lead the Cougs to a 34-21 victory over Arizona State. The Cougar defense tallied five takeaways throughout the game and had three of those in the first quarter. The redshirt junior out of San Jose, California tallied six tackles, four that were solo, two for a loss, one sack, and added in a fumble recovery.
