Three-star wide receiver Rickey Preston, who was reported to be coming to WSU as a late addition to Mike Leach's 2015 recruiting class, has apparently decided to stay at home and play at Tulane, Preston told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Preston's commitment -- which probably is too strong of a characterization of what it was at the time -- was reported by Britton Ransford of WazzuWatch.com back on March 9 ($), but everything had been quiet until two days ago, when Preston made his intentions known to his hometown newspaper.
At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds with blazing speed, Preston had the potential to be a major coup for the Cougars; academic issues appeared to have Preston heading to a junior college, but there was a sense that he just might get his grades in order and potentially qualify for Division I football this fall.
