LA QUINTA, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2025) – Junior Sam Renner shot a 4-under-par, 67, to lead Washington State Men's Golf during the first round at The Prestige Monday, played on the par-71, 7,127-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West. Renner's round included six birdies against two bogeys as he sits tied for fourth after 18 holes, one shot behind a trio of golfers.
The Cougars shot 12-over, 296, on the round after it was determined freshman Dylan Burcham had signed an incorrect score card and was disqualified from the round. Instead of counting Burcham's 2-under, 69, that score was removed and the remaining four scores all counted towards WSU's total.
