The Washington State Cougars picked up the fourth member of their 2020 class late Friday night when defensive tackle Nathaniel James announced via Twitter that he had verbally committed to Mike Leach and Co.:
James, who is 6-foot and 250 pounds, is from Avon, Indiana. He is rated three stars by 247Sports. He also holds reported offers from the Indiana Hoosiers, Ball State Cardinals, Bowling Green Falcons, Northern Illinois Huskies, Toledo Rockets and Tulane Green Wave.
It’s unusual for WSU to recruit from Indiana — we’re not sure who was the last player WSU landed from there — but this coaching staff has a lot of midwest ties, including defensive line coach Jeff Phelps.
