The Washington State Cougars got out to a 5-0 lead in the first two minutes of the game against the Colorado Buffaloes and that was the high point as the Buffs would outscore the Cougs by 37 points over the next 38 minutes to win 92-60.
The Cougars lost their fifth consecutive game and dropped to 7-8 overall and 0-2 in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes picked up their first Pac-12 win to improve to 10-5 and 1-2.
WSU played again without leading scorer Robert Franks, who didn’t even make the trip with an unspecified hip injury, and this was the first time the offense truly suffered in his absence: The Cougars shot just 2-of-18 from three and 19-of-39 from two on their way to a season-low 0.
