RealNetworks is holding true to its turnaround plan, even as revenue continues to decline for the Seattle company.
The company posted a second quarter loss of $27.8 million, compared to $21.0 million in the same period last year. Revenue fell 16 percent to $33.9 million in the second quarter.
Even before those results were released, RealNetworks shares were down more than 4 percent during the trading day to $4.31 per share, a 12-month low for the once-mighty business.
RealNetworks is best known for its 1990s hit media player, RealPlayer, which has since been eclipsed by the crowded online streaming market.
