Q&A with WSU President Kirk Schulz about the ongoing attempt to fix its student conduct process

Kirk Schulz was several weeks into his new job as president of Washington State University when he found a disturbing email from a senior WSU administrator in his inbox on the morning of July 24 with the headline “Brutal attack sends WSU students to the hospital.”

“Should you not have seen,” the administrator wrote in the body of the email, including a link to a news story about how some WSU student-athletes had allegedly broken the jaw of one student, and concussed another, at an off-campus party in the wee hours of the morning.
