Seattle police were investigating an apparent homicide after firefighters found the body of a woman in a Northgate-area parking garage Wednesday.
Police were awaiting a search warrant to enter the car late in the evening.
Officers were called to the garage in the 300 block of Northeast 103rd Street, just east of the Northgate transit center, around 7:30 p.m., police reported. Fire crews reported finding the woman in the car, but she was unresponsive. Detectives arrived and were canvassing the neighborhood and collecting evidence into the night, police said.
They were also working with medical investigators to identify the woman and determine how she died.
